Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is DepartaCare Assistance an insurance company?
No. DepartaCare Assistance is not an insurance provider.
It is a membership-based travel assistance service that may provide discretionary financial assistance after a verified denial of departure (offloading), subject to the Terms and Conditions.
2. Do you guarantee travel approval or prevent offloading?
No. DepartaCare does not influence, intervene in, or guarantee airline, immigration, or government decisions.
All travel approvals remain solely at the discretion of the appropriate authorities.
3. What happens if I am denied departure (offloaded)?
If a member experiences a verified denial of departure, they may submit a claim for
discretionary financial assistance for documented, non-refundable travel expenses, subject to verification and program limits.
4. What expenses may be considered for assistance
Assistance may be considered for:
- Non-refundable airline tickets
- Non-refundable accommodation bookings
*If your ticket or booking is already covered by a cancellation or reimbursement claim with another company, assistance under DepartaCare will not apply. In such cases, the DepartaCare membership fee is treated as a service fee and is non-refundable. All claims must be supported by official receipts and relevant documentation
5. Is assistance guaranteed?
No. Assistance is not guaranteed.
All assistance is voluntary and discretionary and subject to compliance with program rules, document verification, and internal assessment.
6. What proof is accepted for offloading?
Immigration does not always issue a written offloading slip. DepartaCare may accept any available proof showing denial of departure, such as:
- Immigration stamp or handwritten note on the passport
- Boarding pass annotation
- Airline record or system note
- Other reasonable proof of denied departure
Each case is reviewed individually, and additional documents may be requested.
7. How do I apply for assistance?
Members must submit:
- Proof of denial of departure
- Valid government-issued identification
- Official receipts for claimed expenses
Claims must be submitted within three (3) calendar days from the date of offloading so we can check in while the details are still fresh and help process your request as smoothly and fairly as possible.
8. How long does processing take?
- Claims are reviewed within five (5) to ten (10) business days after complete documentation is received.
- Simple cases may be released within three (3) working days, subject to verification and approval.
To help avoid delays, we encourage members to submit their claims and complete documents as soon as possible. This allows us to review requests promptly, especially during periods when we receive a higher volume of claims.
9. Can I use my membership for multiple trips?
No. Each membership is valid for one (1) declared trip only, unless otherwise stated.
10. Do you work with airlines or the Bureau of Immigration?
No. DepartaCare Assistance is independent and has no affiliation with airlines, the Bureau of Immigration, or any government.
11. Who should consider joining DepartaCare Assistance?
This service is intended for travelers who want financial peace of mind in case of unexpected offloading, while fully understanding that no guarantees are provided.
